Weekly Update – Volume 7_02252018

Good Sunday evening everyone, and welcome to another edition of Weekly Update! Lots to talk about, so let’s get to it!

So, I have THE COLD ONES in editing, and the goal is to be done, and to have it submitted, by Friday, which means it should be available for pre-order by the end of the week. As soon as the files are ready, I’ll be ordering paperbacks. I can’t wait to hold it in my hands! Squee!

Also, I now have in my possession the amazing cover for WOLFBORN! So, the plan is I’ll be revealing it here Thursday night. I’ll also be showing it off in the SLP Partners & Followers group, as Thursday is my day for posting. It will be late most likely, probably between 11 and midnight, so be sure that you’re tuned in and don’t miss it! I’ll do public sharing of it on Friday, and I hope when you see it you can give it a share as well.

Starting this week, I’m making a few changes and additions to the schedules for my many pages and groups here. Weekly Update will continue to be on Sundays, right here in the Land of Muchness. Now, on Mondays over on my Author Page, I’ll be featuring Motivation for the Week, which will include a motivational quote or meme of some kind to kind of start the week off on a positive note. Please do like and share it, and spread the goodness! Tuesday will continue back here as Teaser Tuesday, and I’ll start featuring more new teasers, as well as sharing some old favorites, every week.

As you know, one of my groups is The Writers’ Bistro… This group, dedicated to writing and craft and such, has gone a bit quiet lately, but I’m going to try and get it going again with a regular Wednesday posting over there. So, if you aren’t a member of the Bistro yet, now’s the time to join. Thursdays are my posting days in the SLP Partners & Followers group, so make sure you join there to keep up with my postings, and to get to know my other fabulous SLP partner authors. Fridays will bring us back to the Bistro, and a new feature. Live Writes at the Bistro is our monthly live write event. As I said last week, we’re going to be adding an extra hour to the monthly event starting in April, and starting this week will be featuring past Live Write stories in a Live Write Rewind… Each Friday, a Live Write from one of our Bistro Events will be featured, so if you missed any of the past writes, or just want to relive a favorite, make sure you stop in on Friday.

Saturdays are still being planned… I have some ideas involving another group I’m in, but I need to run them by the others in the group before I forge ahead. More on that next week…

So, there you have it… Mark your calendars and be there! LOL I have no events planned this week, but if that changes at some point, I’ll send out an alert.

Hope everyone has a smashing week!!! Until next Sunday, stay gold and full of muchness!!! Peace & Love!!!

Gaby’s Books & Muchness_Weekly Update- Volume 7_02182018

Good evening my peeps! Welcome to another edition of Weekly Update. How was your week? Mine was busy, busy, busy!

Wednesday the group hosted another Rapid Fire Takeover Event, and it was off the chain! Guest authors Aleisha Maree and Elias Raven brought their best, and we had a great time. I urge you to scroll back and take a look at their posts and books, and get to know these stellar authors. The next RFTOs in the group will be in March, but I will be a guest in one this coming Saturday… more on that later…

So, March is indeed fast approaching, and with it will come not one, but two releases for me. Both books are completed, and in the editing phase. The Cold Ones is scheduled to be released on March 13th, just in time for Saint Patrick’s Day, and I’ll be getting with my publicist to come up with some super ways to promote it. Wolfborn will follow later in the month… I’m aiming for a release on my birthday, just like Quicksilver’s debut last year. I’ll be getting the cover and goodies this week… I’ve already seen the cover and it’s amazing, of course, and designed by the same firm that did the first two, Deranged Doctor Design. I have to say, the three standing side-by-side look so good! Can’t wait for that release, and they’ll be plenty of sharing and promoting going on with that, too.

Also, I just finished a reformat to the interiors of Bloodline and Quicksilver. What does this mean for people who already have them? Not much, really, unless you have paperbacks, and in that case your copies may be worth more someday because you have the original printings. The e-books of the entire trilogy will be available in wide distribution by the end of March, and paperbacks featuring the new interiors design will be available as soon as I figure out this PDF thing LOL… *sighs* Good news is, I won’t have to do this kind of interior change again because I’m using the D2D interiors from now on… Nothing wrong with the old ones, per se, but I just wanted everybody to look good and fresh and matching when they all stood together… so… yeah…

Okay, moving on… as mentioned above, I have a RFTO takeover this coming Saturday, February 24th, at 8PM EST, in Sharon Johnson’s Reader Group… I’ll be joining hostess Sharon Johnson and fellow guest Sandra Ramblin Neeley, and it’s going to be a fabulous night.

I’m currently finalizing the lineup for the next Live Writes at the Bistro event… as soon as I confirm my authors, I’ll be setting up the event and letting you all know who’s coming to write. Starting this April, we’re going to be adding an extra hour to the Live Writes at the Bistro, making the event once monthly from 7PM-11PM… There’s been such wonderful response to the event, and so many authors interested, both returning and new, that we decided to add an extra hour, and space for two more authors, per event, was the best way to go. There’s going to be some special writes coming up as well, so make sure you are on board here, so you can keep up and be in the know 😉

This coming week, it may be a bit quiet here… Currently, I’m plotting the next two Kate Gardener Mysteries, as well as a short urban fantasy story for the Shadow League anthology… I’m also editing two of my own books, and editing someone else’s book… Hopefully, by the end of this week, I will have Wolfborn cover materials available to begin making teasers, and can get some new goodies together for The Cold Ones as well… Also, if you haven’t already joined the SLP Partners and Followers, go join… I’ll be one of the featured posters each Thursday, so exclusive info and teasers and goodies may be showing up there before here, depending on timing.

Please feel free and encouraged to share this group whenever, wherever… we are creeping closer to 100 members already… Isn’t that amazing!? When we hit 100, I’m planning to hold a giveaway, and we don’t have far to go!

Okay, I’ve jabber on long enough… Thanks for tuning in, and, until next week, I wish you all Peace & Love & Muchness!

Gaby’s Books & Muchness_Weekly Update – Vol. 6_02112018

Hello all!!! Hope this finds you all well!!! Yep, it’s another edition of Weekly Update!!!

So, yesterday was the cover reveal for my next book, The Cold Ones. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, look through the posts and give it some love. It truly is spectacular!!! Designed by Rebecca Weeks/ Dark Wish Designs… I can’t wait to see it in print!!!

Thursday we’re doing it Rapid Fire style here in the Land of Books and Muchness… February 15th, 10-11 PM EST, we will be hosting another Rapid Fire Takeover, with our special guests Aleisha Maree and Elias Raven. I’ll be getting the post up for it, so it can be shared via my author page, as well as the link for the group. It’s ripe to be a fun night with these two, so you don’t want to miss it!

In writing news, I’m wrapping up The Cold Ones, and I’m starting outlines on the next two Kate Gardener Mysteries. That has been an interesting process because, unlike the previous four books in the series, I’m starting from scratch almost completely… I have a couple of outlines that I’m merging for the 5th book, but the 6th is going to be completely from scratch… It will be an interesting experience, writing step by step with these characters. I had to do it for Quicksilver and Wolfborn, which were also “from scratch” books, and they turned out better than I hoped, so I’m looking forward to what comes from this.

And, so my friends, that is it for tonight. I know, it was a quiet update, but I promise between now and April there will be lots more to update and enjoy… Things are going to start hopping soon!!! Have a wonderful night, and make tomorrow the Muchiest Monday Ever!!! ❤

Gaby’s Books & Muchness: Weekly Update-Vol. 5_02042018

Good evening, friends! Welcome to another edition of weekly update!

So, this week we hosted the very first Rapid Fire Takeover here in the group. Partner Authors and friends Savannah Morgan and Kasey Hill came to play with us, and it was an amazing hour! If you missed it, well, you didn’t miss it, because the posts are all still there, so go check them out, and meet these amazing authors. I will be heading to Savi’s group this week for a Rapid Fire, so now’s a great time to head over and join her group so you’re ready. I need to double check the day and time, so I’ll post it as soon as I know for sure. And we’ll be hosting here again on the 15th, when Aleisha Maree and Elias Raven will be coming to play.

In writing news, The Cold Ones is coming along, and it’s going to be a bit longer than I expected… like 10,000-15,000 words longer LOL I’m setting February 15th as my draft deadline, and I’m confident I’m going to meet it. Then it’s on to editing Wolfborn. The cover design process has started, and I’m looking forward to seeing that first draft for Wolfborn at the end of the month. Oh, and speaking of covers, I’m going to be revealing the cover for The Cold Ones on Saturday, February 10th… To be honest, I haven’t decided how I’m doing it, but I’m leaning toward a little quiet reveal right in here, and then putting it up for the public right after… Stay tuned!

Wednesday is the February edition of Live Writes at the Bistro. We have a bunch of fabulous writers joining us this time, many first-timers to the event, so I hope everyone can come, enjoy the stories and lend their support. As always, share and invite as many as you can when you see the event!

That’s it for this edition of Weekly Update… See you all back here next week!
