Busy week coming up… it’s release week!!! CREATURE FEATURE will be live this coming Thursday!!! Right now it is on pre-order for only 99¢, but the price will go up to $2.99 after Thursday, so now is the time to get your copy. Christine Connolly of Book Born has been raising money and donating kid’s books to her local Michigan Salvation Army for two years now. Lots of events coming up this week… First is a Rapid Fire at 10 PM this Tuesday in Ardent Rose’s Crazy 4 Rose reading group, with a second Rapid Fire on Thursday (release day), at 9 PM in Steven Evans’ Horror Horde Reading group.
Friday, I will be Live Writing with my girl Roux Cantrell at House of Dark Angel’s Friday Night Live Write. The theme is “Enchanted Journeys”, and it’s an all-ladies write… Early on, I was kind of a staple at these writes, but I haven’t been there since last October, so I’m looking forward to my return.
Next week will be the long-anticipated Bistro Book Blurb Workshop. The workshop will take place over three days, and will feature lots of tips and tricks to help writers hook their readers and avoid the pitfalls that can so easily plague that back-cover necessity. I’m still gathering information and such for this, and I’m telling you I’m learning a lot myself. Can’t wait to start, and share this with you all!
Now, I haven’t updated you all on my work for a while. I met all my writing goals in April and May, but I’ve been a little stalled out on my June ones until a few days ago. The outline for the next Kate Gardener Mystery (#6) has finally come together, though, and I’m almost 5,000 words into the draft. Next month, I’ll be doing another round of Camp NaNoWriMo with my bestie, Jade, and I’m hoping to not only finish this story, but the next one as well… I know, it’s ambitious, but I’m confident I can do it.
