Hello all!!! Welcome back to Weekly Update… Let’s dive in!!!
So I’ve been taking a little break from writing since finishing NaNo… Made some new graphics for the Kate Gardener books that are out, which you may have seen around my Facebook pages and groups. I’m going to be diving back in soon, though… First on the docket is getting NIGHT MOVES edited and ready for publication. I had wanted to get it out this month, but so as not to rush and mess it up I’m going to leave the whole publishing date open for the time being. It WILL be coming soon, so keep your eyes open. I’m also getting ready to finish outlining book 7 so I can dive back into that one. Outside the mysteries, I’ll be puttering with other stories from varied genres. In fact, I found an entire outline for a story last night… it’s not my usual bag, so to speak, but I can’t pass up taking a close look at a full outline, now can I? LOL
In other news, I’m thinking on ideas of stuff to do in the Writers’ Bistro. It’s been a while since I ran a weekly write-up there, but I haven’t hit on something quite yet. I’m always open to ideas, too, so if you have one, send it my way.
Of course, the big shared news this week regarded Facebook’s new rules about images and language and such. For my part, I’m not worried about it and won’t be running to another platform anytime soon… You’re stuck with me LOL!!! In all seriousness, though, when “bans” and “guidelines” appear, it should really be a moment to take a close look at your marketing approach. I always ask myself… “Could I say this or show this to a mixed audience in a Barnes & Noble?” If the answer is ever “no”, then it’s time to re-evaluate your approach a bit. Because eventually, no matter what they say otherwise, social media platforms are going to find ways to regulate their content, for safety if nothing else. You have to be prepared to adapt, as any good business should. Just my opinion, though.
Nothing exciting happening in the coming week for me, other than editing, outlining, playing with some cool imagery, perhaps… and maybe even a little baking, we’ll see. So, until next week, I shall leave you and say Peace, Love, & Muchness to you all!!!
